My husband and I dined in at Tia's Kitchen, and we left with very happy bellies. Norma, our waitress, explained the menu options with delicious details and a genuine smile. She was patient and kind with our questions and provided help in deciding what to order. The food prices are below or about average for Mexican restaurants. The food and sauces were authentic, homemade, and so very delicious. Mexican rice is one of the best I have ever had. The tortillas seemed to be a corn and flour combo, which had a very tasty flavor and texture. This is truly a hidden gem in Garland and worth the drive, even if the drive is outside of Garland. Great job to the staff at Tia's kitchen!

It was so good if you want real mexican food this is it

My husband suggested this place. The food seemed freshly made, hot, and good size portions. Small business owner and loved to support. She was kind. We ordered menudo, gorditos, and their special. Sooo good.

Staff/owner very friendly. The food hand down delicious. the chicken nuggets my daughter order huge. Very satisfied and will be coming back. Give them grace they are human for mistakes and praying blessing over this restaurant.

I came in around 8pm on a Saturday night and I was immediately greeted by the owner and staff. They gave such a warm welcome. They helped me through the menu and had a note on the menu to notify if we had allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate me. Their corn tortillas are made from scratch and I was able to eat a lot of items on the menu which as gorditas, fresh fruit drinks, barbacoa ect. The owner surprised us with guacamole and it was very fresh and delicious. The best part about the menu is that everything is fresh and hand made. The corn tortillas were so delicious and tasted way better than the store bought ones. The server was knowledgeable and accommodated my dietary needs, the owner made sure to give me corn tortillas and double checked. I would definitely come back. You can’t beat the prices , quality in food, & customer service. The pina is delicious (I’m gluten and diary intolerant , not celiac so be mindful with your allergies when dining)

I come here on some of my work mornings for a fresh side of Guacamole , it’s so good! When I say fresh, I mean hand prepared in my face... chopping up onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, lime etc. Now, I have my co-workers coming. Lol The owners (the husband) speaks good English but the a few of the regular staff do not, but they are very pleasant and welcoming. If you make an attempt to explain to them what you want, they are more than willing to listen, to get you what you need. -“Guac Lady”

Best meal I've had in maybe, months. Seriously. Just such fresh home cooked goodness. The waitress recommended the enchiladas potosinas and she was not wrong! Thin sliced roast beef, crunchy little cheese enchiladas and the black beans! I know it's just beans but they were some of the best black beans I've ever had. And she brought me some fresh stewed tomato salsa that was unlike anything I've ever had and NOTHING like Tex-Mex red salsas. I drank some from the cup! Brining my husband back this weekend because he is going to be jealous when I show him this picture ;) ¡Muchas Gracias!

Stopped here on a whim, because I was craving breakfast tacos. I was bummed when I didn't see them on the menu. The the waitress, I believe she is the manager as well, but she is a Super sweet, friendly, and welcoming. She offered to make whatever kinda burrito/tacos we wanted! They didn't disappoint! I had potato, egg, cheese and black beans and omg .... Yummy.... The table side salsa was super delicious. My husband had breakfast enchiladas with red and green sauce, with eggs, and a piece of steak. I have no idea what it's called but omgeeeeee he loved it, I loved it! It was a winner! And don't get me started on the coffee, get the coffee brewed with cinnamon. It's delicious.....so comforting ...Portion sizes are average, but the taste is where it's at!!! It's not tex mex bs, this is authentic Mexican flavors .... Not the outskirts of Mexico, but the inner lands by waterfalls and such. Just a perfect blend of flavors! I can't wait to go back and try more on their menu! 5 stars! Service, atmosphere, food, friendliness, bilingual, price..... I mean what else could we of asked for!?!!!
